Out of (str8) Sight, Out of (str8) Mind

I've been noticing in the news for a while how there hasn't been any horrific killer or murderer out there who was found to have also been gay. Not that killers and murderers are cool, but I think it's great how so-called straight folks have been hogging all the negative media. I can think of at least two incidents where a man murders his family then kills himself. (Straight guy, I'm sure.)

Then there was the Sunday school teacher who killed a little girl and is being investigated for possible messing around with other little girls.

And locally, we've had people shooting each other in alleys for who-knows-what reasons. (Straight, also.)

So while this may seem petty and a bit "out there," I'm just glad the ever judgmental spotlight of our fair and just media is fallen on the morally upright and socially admirable people who align themselves with society's righteous.

It just makes me want to go jaywalking.

Twittering?

In case you've been in a cave for the last year or so, we now have a new feature on the web that lets you communicate with the masses. Twitter.com operates on a simple question - "What are you doing?"

It's like letting the world know what you're doing in case anyone was wondering. Haven't tried it yet? It's fun, actually. You can follow what your buddies are doing. If you get bored, you can send a text and let everyone know what YOU are doing at that moment.

I like it because it's safe, it's simple, and it keeps you from getting bored if you're stuck somewhere with nothing to do but use your cellphone to text.

Let me know if you guys try it. It's a great way to keep in touch.

Happy Good Easter Monday Blah..

Did we just have some sort of holiday? I remember some fuss with eggs, rabbits and a shitload of baskets being colored and toted around. That's it.

Strange how Easter doesn't mean much once you're grown up. By then you're tired of all the sugar, and you start to wonder where in the Bible they had a Saint Peter Rabbit... hmmm...
